By using the service, you agree to use it responsibly and only for lawful learning purposes.
2. Educational purpose
Our courses, articles, guides and simulator exercises are educational resources. They do not replace approved practical training, official examinations, equipment-specific manuals, current regulations or instructions from maritime authorities and coast stations.
A diploma issued by GMDSS Training confirms completion of the named online course. It is not a radio operator licence, government certificate, STCW qualification or other official maritime credential.
Where an official certificate or licence is required, the learner is responsible for meeting the requirements set by the relevant authority.
3. Safety and real-world use
Training scenarios and simulator exercises are simplified for learning purposes.
Always follow applicable regulations, official procedures and the instructions supplied with real radio and safety equipment.
Do not rely on this website, its courses or simulators during an emergency.’

4. Accounts and course access
You are responsible for keeping your account details and login information secure.
If you want your name printed on a course diploma, you are responsible for providing the correct name.
Course access is intended for the registered user unless otherwise stated. Access may be limited or suspended if an account is misused, shared without permission, used to interfere with the service or used in violation of these terms.
The duration of access, where applicable, will be stated on the relevant course or product page.
5. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, the website, course material, simulator content, graphics, illustrations, videos, animations and downloadable resources belong to GMDSS Training or are used with permission.
The material may be used for personal learning in accordance with the access provided. It may not, without written permission, be copied, reproduced, recorded, resold, republished, distributed, shared with others or made publicly available.
Course accounts, downloadable materials and simulator access may not be resold or transferred to another person unless expressly permitted.
6. Availability and changes
We may improve, correct, update, replace or temporarily withdraw content and features.
We aim to keep the service available, accurate and up to date, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access or that every feature, course or simulator will always remain unchanged.
Course content may be updated when regulations, procedures, technology or educational requirements change.
7. Prices, payment, course access and withdrawal rights
Prices are displayed on the website before purchase. Any applicable taxes will be shown as required. Payment is made using the payment methods available at checkout.
Access to an online course is normally provided immediately after successful payment, unless otherwise stated on the relevant course or product page.
Consumer cancellation and withdrawal rights vary depending on the customer’s country or region. Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits any mandatory consumer rights that apply under applicable law.
For customers in the European Union (EU) and European Economic Area (EEA), statutory withdrawal rights may apply to online purchases. Where digital content is supplied immediately, the customer may be asked to expressly consent to delivery beginning before the expiry of the statutory withdrawal period and to acknowledge that, where permitted by applicable law, the right of withdrawal is lost once delivery of the digital content has begun.
Any additional refund, cancellation or access conditions applicable to a particular course or product will be displayed before purchase.
Refund Policy
General
GMDSS Training provides digital educational products, including online courses and e-books. We do not offer an additional voluntary money-back or satisfaction guarantee.
Purchases processed through Creem.io are sold by Creem.io as the authorised reseller and Merchant of Record. Refunds are subject to applicable law and the Creem.io Buyer Terms applicable to your purchase. This policy supplements those terms and does not override them.
Online courses and e-books
Simply changing your mind or deciding that you do not like the content does not, by itself, qualify you for a refund under our voluntary policy. This includes cases where you have accessed or completed a course, or downloaded or read an e-book.
This does not affect any applicable statutory withdrawal right or your rights where content is faulty, not delivered, or does not match its description.
Any goodwill refund outside your legal entitlements is considered individually. We may take account of the reason for the request, course progress and download records where available. A goodwill refund is not guaranteed.
Statutory withdrawal rights
Depending on your location and the type of product purchased, you may have a statutory right to withdraw from your purchase.
For digital content supplied without a physical medium, this right may end when supply begins, but only where all applicable legal requirements have been met. These may include your prior express consent to immediate supply, your acknowledgement that you will lose your withdrawal right, and confirmation of that consent and acknowledgement on a durable medium, such as email.
Accessing a course or downloading an e-book does not, by itself, remove your statutory withdrawal rights.

We will investigate and work to resolve the issue. Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you may be entitled to a remedy such as correction, a price reduction or a refund. Using or completing the content does not automatically exclude these rights.
How to request a refund
Please contact GMDSS Training first, using the contact details on this website or your purchase receipt. Include your order reference, the email address used for the purchase and a description of the issue so we can assist you.
You do not need to provide a reason when exercising a statutory right of withdrawal.
For purchases processed through Creem.io, refunds are processed by Creem.io. You may also contact Creem.io using the support options in your purchase receipt or customer portal.
Your consumer rights
Nothing in this policy excludes or limits mandatory consumer rights under applicable law. Where those rights conflict with this policy, your mandatory consumer rights prevail.
8. Limitation
To the extent permitted by applicable law, GMDSS Training is not responsible for loss or damage resulting from using educational content, simulator exercises or other learning resources as a substitute for official training, professional advice, required certification, current regulations or real-world operating instructions.
Users remain responsible for operating radio and safety equipment in accordance with applicable regulations, licence requirements, manufacturer instructions and official procedures.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
